Vice President Shi Aihuan, Liaocheng Shuangzhuo Mechanical & Electrical Equipment Co., Ltd. General Manager Zhao Jingguo and representatives from 18 enterprises and institutions in the province's superhard materials industry attended the on-site meeting. Representatives from six research and technology support organizations, including the Institute of Process Engineering at the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Shandong Provincial Doctoral Alliance, participated in the online conference.

At the meeting, Zhao Jingguo, General Manager of Shandong Liaocheng Shuangzuan Machinery & Equipment Co., Ltd., was invited to deliver a keynote speech. Expressing his heartfelt thoughts, Mr. Zhao said: "Having been involved in Shandong's superhard materials industry for over 20 years, I’m thrilled to finally see the establishment of an organized structure—marking the end of the fragmented, leaderless phase where everyone was fighting their own battles. Moving forward, Shandong’s superhard materials industry is poised for rapid growth under the guidance and leadership of this newly formed alliance." Meanwhile, Chen Yuge and Xu Longhai unveiled the "Shandong Superhard Materials Industry-Education Alliance," while Li Xu and Xu Longhai officially opened the "Liaocheng Vocational & Technical College Superhard Materials Engineering Technology Research Center."

Xu Hongxiang and Shandong Liaocheng Shuangzhuo Mechanical & Electrical Equipment Co., Ltd. Representatives from six companies signed the university-industry cooperation agreement. The meeting elected the chairman of the board, vice chairmen, the secretary-general, and board members, and approved the charter of the Industry-Education Alliance, the work plan, and other related matters.

Chen Yugeng, representing the Liaocheng Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, expressed full support for the establishment of the alliance, actively seeking policy support to fuel its growth, align with national strategic goals, and contribute to Liaocheng's vision of becoming a strong industrial city.

Li Xu stated that the establishment of the Superhard Materials Industry-Education Alliance is both timely and essential, as it effectively integrates industry, education, and research, inevitably creating a "1 + 1 > 2" synergy effect.

The Shandong Superhard Materials Industry-Education Alliance (under preparation) was established to implement the guiding principles outlined in General Secretary Xi Jinping’s speech at the National Vocational Education Conference, as well as key documents such as the "National Vocational Education Reform Implementation Plan" ("20 Measures for Vocational Education") and the "Implementation Plan for Major Projects Promoting the Conversion of Old and New Growth Drivers in Shandong Province." Guided by the Linyi Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology and the Linyi Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology, the alliance is spearheaded by Linyi Vocational & Technical College. It integrates cutting-edge research resources to create a collaborative platform that brings together government, academia, industry, and enterprises, fostering seamless integration of production, education, research, and innovation. This initiative aims to enhance vocational education’s ability to support economic and social development, while simultaneously driving the sustained and healthy growth of the superhard materials industry in Linyi City—and across Shandong Province.
